Welcome to MiCANCHA ("MiCANCHA," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you use the MiCANCHA mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We may collect information you provide directly, including your full name, display name, email address, encrypted password credentials, profile photo, player card photo, nationality, country, team, league, player position, jersey number, biography, messages, free-agent status, and any other information you voluntarily submit. We also automatically collect technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, log files, crash reports, push notification tokens, and analytics relating to your use of the Services.
We use your information to create and manage accounts, generate player cards, display statistics, operate leagues and teams, enable messaging, administer voting and Best XI selections, improve the Services, detect fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and communicate important updates.
Because MiCANCHA is designed as a sports community, certain information is intentionally public within the app. This may include your display name, profile photo, player card, team, league, position, jersey number, awards, badges, rankings, match statistics, Best XI selections, and free-agent availability when enabled.
Team chats are visible only to authorized members of the applicable team. Direct messages are intended only for the sender and recipient. You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant MiCANCHA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, process, and distribute that content solely for operating and improving the Services.
We do not sell or rent your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes. We may share information with trusted service providers, including providers for authentication, cloud storage, notifications, analytics, hosting, payment processing (if introduced), or where required by law.
The Services may rely on providers such as Supabase, Expo, Apple, Google, and other vendors that help deliver core functionality. Each provider maintains its own privacy practices.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, authentication protections, secure cloud infrastructure, and monitoring designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and preserve historical league records. Some match results and statistics may remain in anonymized or historical form after an account is deleted to maintain the integrity of league history.
